There are many famous confections created with the quality water under the clear sky of Higashimokoto. Enjoy “Cheese-kozo (azuki-paste and cheese pie),” “Nacchan (lightly sweetened sponge cake sandwich with cheese cream),” “Cheese-monaka,” “Cheese-yokan (locally produced cheese added in azuki-bean jelly),” “Shibazakura-ichiban (baked sweet cake with cherry leaf on top),” and various fresh Dorayaki (pancakes filled with azuki-paste and whipped cream) which are well recognized in eastern Hokkaido and are best served cold. Eighty percent of the ingredients are local produce; flour, azuki beans, eggs, and sugar used for the sweets are produced in eastern Hokkaido. Each sweet has fresh cheese taste as they are completely free from artificial preservatives. “Customers’ smiles are the proof of deliciousness.”
