【About the Event】

This road race takes place at “Mt. Mokoto” in Higashimokoto in October when the weather is favorable. This race is selected as one of the 100 Sports in Hokkaido and is popular among amateur runners in Hokkaido. It’s the last race of the marathon season. As its name suggests, it has been held even when the cold wind blew down from Mt. Mokoto or under the snowy weather. Participants vary from elementary school children to the elderly, and many people compete their stable footwork. Pork miso soup is served, and warm support from residents has been well-received by participants.
If you are good walkers, why don’t you aim at winning the Mt. Mokoto Fukioroshi Marathon?
